We no longer offer kayak rentals for general paddling on the Black River.
We do, however, offer kayaking opportunities for those with physical disabilities. Whether you have a bum shoulder, have recently healed from surgery, are paraplegic or an amputee, or have other concerns about kayaking based on your specific abilities, we probably have the gear you need, and if we don’t, we’ll adapt and make it happen!
LoCo ‘Yaks is a 501(c)3 Corporation for Nonprofit focusing on Lake Erie and the Black River watershed in Lorain County, Ohio.
We offer Adaptive Paddling Opportunities, Paddling Education, and Stewardship Events,
in addition to providing Community Outreach & AOC Education as Facilitators for the Black River Advisory Committee.
